Rise

The front legs or leg (single down tube) of the frame are the two tubes or single tube that run in front of the engine between the motor mount and the head or neck. Front leg rise is measured with the frame sitting on the ground and usually measured to the bottom of the neck. I say usually because some frame manufactures measure it to the middle of the neck

Front leg rise is independent of all other dimensions and again is measured with the frame sitting on the ground and in our case to the bottom of the neck in a vertical plane. It is not extended in the horizontal plane and does not change the location of the front motor mount or forward control location.

As the front leg rise increases the front legs (without backbone stretch) gets closer to the cylinders, VERY IMPORTANT! For this reason frame rise dimensions above certain heights must be accompanied by backbone stretch or the front legs or leg will hit the cylinder heads.

As I stated earlier I set out to build the ultimate fixture tables and we have the capability to make a frame with 12” of rise. Extreme yes, but when I set out to build the ultimate fixture tables I considered all possible requests for frames “so bring it on” we will make a custom frame to fit you!
